Give.mobi, a mobile web app project by CharityCall LLC enters into an agreement with internet payment solutions giant Paypal to drive fundraising via mobile device for non profits.
CharityCall LLC, innovator of leading mobile web fund-raising solutions, announced an agreement with PayPal today to integrate PayPal’s latest mobile payment solution for nonprofit organizations into CharityCall’s mobileDonor mobile web application. PayPal’s payment solution is integrated directly into the mobileDonor application providing nonprofits with a simple way to raise funds via the mobile Smartphone. The mobileDonor platform process transcends the wireless carrier limitations of text based mobile giving solutions.
CharityCall’s mobileDonor “cloud based” platform hosts a client-branded giving app on the mobile web at a universally accessible .mobi web address to handle immediate gift transactions via PayPal’s secure mobile payments. Also, a donation “pledge” feature allows charitable donors without PayPal accounts to issue pledges which can be completed later from their home or office via credit card.
“We are thrilled to be working more closely with PayPal to introduce the nonprofit world to fundraising on the mobile web.” said CharityCall founder and President, Bob Jones “Using our unique platform supporters can access a nonprofit’s convenient mobile URL from their Smartphone and give any amount they choose. Our process breaks the $10 donation barrier of text2give. Funds are typically deposited with the nonprofit within 72 hours by PayPal and best of all, donors are identified for future engagement. Also, each mobileDonor web app works the same way on every Smartphone. Since our mobile apps are accessed via a mobile URL as opposed to downloaded, the user’s giving experience is the same on iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Palm, or any other Web-enabled device, without restriction.”
“Our mobileDonor offering allows nonprofits to extend their web based donor engagement strategy from the part time world of the desktop to the always on world of the mobile phone, explains Fred Emmer, Vice President of Marketing. “By promoting the .mobi hot link in emails, Twitter feeds, Facebook posts, and text broadcasts, the call-to-action messages are now equipped with an instantaneous response method. People can give conveniently and securely from anywhere at any time.
